Chocolate Chess Pie
I highly recommend using Ghirardelli brand cocoa for this recipe because of it's rich flavor.
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 tbsp cocoa
5 ounces evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1 pie shell or 12 tart shells
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together with a whisk.
Fold into pie shell or tart shells
Bake 45 minutes for a pie shell and 30 minutes for tart shells
I recommend putting the pie shell or tart shells on a rimmed baking sheet. The mixture is almost a liquid and spills easily when carrying to the oven.
