Each morning I wake up to a loving husband and son, wagging tails, a warm shower, a closet full of clothes, a roof over my head, a kitchen full of food, a car in the driveway, a job to go to, and the list goes on and on. I try to remind myself how truly blessed I am and be thankful for all of my wonderful blessings as often as I can. Sometimes though, things don’t go as planned and I have to stop and take a breath and put things into perspective.
Just yesterday, I was given one of those opportunities and God granted me GRACE! I had a very long day of meetings about 2 hours from home. I finally got on the road close to 7:00. About 30 minutes into my drive, my tire blew! Here I was on the side of the road, in the dark, freezing cold, and no spare tire! I seriously wanted to have a break down but for some reason I just laughed. I stopped and thought about the reason I was in this predicament was because I have a job, I have a car, I have a family I am eager to get home to, and even though it was very cold, I had a warm coat on my back. I still made it home safely and was greeted with loving arms, wagging tails, and a late dinner that had been kept for me. I am BLESSED. I am THANKFUL.
From my home to yours, Happy Thanksgiving! May you all have a blessed day and have plenty to be thankful for!
